If I am to sign up to promote adult affiliate programs, my main concern is promoting them. Where is a good resource to help with promotion of affiliate links (on a budget!) What kind of marketing methods do you use?!

The most effective way is to build a network of sites and interlink all the sites, this will help you to start build traffic on all your sites.
Also, a great way for a beginning webmaster to start to promote is to look for other sites promoting the same sort of program and do link exchanges with those sites. Many sites will have a list of of link partners and a link to sign up to trade traffic
